Slowly approached the courageous knight the back of the evil cave. His long quest to save the fair maiden from her peril was about to end with only one obstacle left.
There he was, face to face with the creature that struck fear into the hearts of many! Towering above him was a dragon unlike he had ever seen. Suddenly the dragon let out a thundering roar!
"WOOF!"
Once more I have to thank for her excellent stock!
The magic circle stands for the boundary of the make believe world of a game. Even with make believe games, children would impose on themselves a set of rules they could not break (without complaining of the others). In a sense; it is a dimension apart from ours, where our fantasy runs amock.
As for the drawing itself; tried out something new. I wanted to do something with a 4 point perspective, since I needed the ceiling and the floor to be both present. While I think it worked out well for the composition and the environment, the characters might be a bit lacking (since I did those by winging it, something I really shouldnt be doing yet). It is interesting to try out some more though, this 4 point perspective is pretty cool.
this is just wonderful and I adore how you adapted my room. It's an amazing scene and your artwork is fab best of luck in the contest and thanks so much for including my stock

Thanks, great to see you are liking the style . I feel much more home at this style actually, it seems to fit me better than the other did. Good luck to you too

Thanks! And thank you for making that stock . I was looking for wallpaper all over the place, and then I remember I found something great at your gallery last time as well. So I went and pretty much the first thing I saw was the silk wall. I was sold pretty much instantly .

Thank you very much! I love drawing in this style. It was funny really, for years I have adopted an anime style (Zelda Ocarina of Time artwork can be blamed for that), and thought that I felt at home with it. Then I wanted to try something new, thanks to a few deviants and the movie Coraline (with whom you might detect similarities) and turns out I feel much better at it. Going from all the replies I got, it seems it was a good choice to switch as well, as people are much more positive about this than they were about the anime deal.
By the way, I was browsing a Unreal3 editor forum for starters tutorials (I wish to create another 3D environment, but this time in this particular style) and happened to come across someone with the same avatar as yours. You don't happen to be the same person?

DeviantART has partnered with FAIR to help promote equality through The Love Unites Shepard Fairey Equality Project. We're asking deviants to align themselves with this cause and have their work judged by Shepard Fairey himself!
For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Deviousness Award is an accolade which is traditionally handed out on the 1st of every month to one trully outstanding deviant. `Cyantre is one of the most helpful deviants within our community. With a positive attitude and a resourceful mind, you can always find him providing support and encouragement to those in need. Always looking for ways in which he can get more involved in our community, John's positive presence is to be aspired to. A well respected poet, John is a must-have on your deviantWATCH to make sure that you don't miss out on your dose of community inspiration. It's with great pleasure that the Deviousness Award for November 2009 goes to... Read More
