What is this? Two deviations in the same month? Week even?!

Dont get used to it .

Anyway, this was a birthday present to a friend of mine, who also happened to be the very first person to ever request a drawing from me out of the blue, so I spent more effort on it than usually. She is an opera singer, that is why I choose to go with the Opera house. A risky choice as it turned out, as the work may be worth it, but the amount of detail was rather huge.

The opera house itself is based upon Opera de Paris, one of the 4 official Opera houses in France (or Paris, I dont know precisely). I did take some liberties with the design, as the amount of reference I could find was little and, to make matters worse, the detail in the real Opera de Paris is sick. That, and I have moved the stage much more forward than they actually are, because otherwise I would have lost a lot of detail.

I decided to try the 3 point perspective with this one; as I had never tried that before. It also happened to bring out the size of the opera house itself better. It is of course far from perfect, but I am very happy with the results so far .

I have used some stock textures, to bring out the colors. Special thanks go to *gild-a-stock and one unknown deviant (I cannot find his name again) for that .

Anyway, onto my game project again! Expect some art assets from that very soon (yeah, I lied, hurr ).
